1. If it were up to you to make the decision, would you let the sweatshop workers become legal U.S. citizens? Why or why not?

-yes i would make them legal citizens. i would because they are not much different from us.the need money, they need food, the need clothes, and its not fair that they have to have low pay for something that cost way more money than they make in a month.

2. Describe a moment in from parts 1, 2, or 3 of this movie that you found particularly memorable? Why?

- some thing that i found memorable was that she had so many kid on a very low budget. and i was thinking that mabeye when they get older they can get jobs.and they wont be so poor.

3. By the end of part 3, the protestors seem to be giving up hope. If you were able to speak to the group, what would you say to them to inspire them to keep going?

- i would say that they can get through with this and that i will try to get the word out.also that i will support you.

made in L.A # 2

1. Who does Forever 21 blame for the sweatshops? Why?

-they blame the contractor. only because they do not want to get involved in the argument. so they say it is the contractor. Then the contractor says that is was the manufacture. last the don't give a 2 cents, so they don't talk.

2. What’s wrong with Forever 21′s argument?

-the thing that is wrong with forever 21's argument is that they are saying that that are not involed in this. but then again, they are because they are the one who hired the contractor.

3. Why do the workers continue to protest even if it means they might lose their jobs?

-because they want to stand up for their rights, and wanted to make things right for them and all of the other people who work in sweat shops. also the have to have some dignity for themselves .

Made in L.A questions.answers.

1. how is the life of sweatshop workers in L.A. the same as those in Indonesia? How is it different?

- It is the same in L.A in man ways.like they do not even get min wage.one of the people said that they get $3.25 an hour. it's only better here by a little bit of money.it is different in no kind of way.no matter where you are, sweat shops will be the same.

2. Why is it that poor immigrants (newcomers) end up working at sweatshops? Why don’t they work as lawyers or doctors or at Mcdonalds?

-They end up working at sweatshops because no other places give jobs without the papers. also they do not want any immagrants to work with them.

3. Predict what’s going to happen by the end of this movie

-I think that maybey the people will get a green card somehow.and they will find jobs, and they will live a better ife than before.

1. How much do Nike workers make in Indonesia each day? How many hours a day do they work?

they probably worked about 9 hours and made like $2.00 a day.

2. What is life like for Indonesian Nike workers at home?

They do not have the kind of money that we have.they probably can't even afford decent clothing, or good and healthy food.they are children and that counts a child labor.

3. Why won’t Nike talk to Jim or Leslie or let them visit the shoe factory?

i do not know who Jim or Leslie is , but i think Nike wont let them visit the factory because Nike does not want to let anybody know about child labor.
